Hace tiempo que no actualizo, ha habido mucho trabajo en Miniaturas Fortes, estoy con una nueva figura entre manos pero de momento no puedo publicar fotos.
Un momento importante fue la mañana de escultura que tuvimos el 30 de marzo. Realizamos demostraciones con las masillas Magic Sculp y Green Stuff.

Its been a long time since I dont publish here, there has been a lot of work at Miniaturas Fortes, I have got a figure on the makings but I cannot show any pictures yet.
An important moment was the sculpting morning that we had on the 30 of march. We made some tests with two diferent kind of putty: Magic Sculp and Green Stuff.

This is one of those characters that cause you an unforgettable impresion.
I Think that my first memory of him is the movie directed by David Lean: Oliver Twist (1948).

The versions of the novel have been numerous, both in movies and theater. My favourite version is still the version from 1948, but the actor that most resembles the character imagined by Dickes is, indeed, Oliver Reed.

Las versiones de la novela han sido numerosas, tanto en el cine como en el teatro. Mi versión favorita sigue siendo la versión de 1948, pero el actor que más parecido guarda con el personaje imaginado por Dickens es, sin duda, Oliver Reed.
Dickens describes him as a stoutly-built fellow " with a black velvet coat and very soiled drab breeches". Powerful calves covered by grey cotton socks, inside his boots. The dirty belcher hankerchief, with wich he cleaned the beer from his mouth... He is a brutal and dangerous personage, whom, however, has complete loyalty from his lover, the prostitute Nancy, and his bull terrier, named Bullseye.
After some thought, and watching many scenes and vintage pictures, I had the idea of the pose and the look that I wanted for the character. That he transmited brutality and danger at first sight.

Dickens lo describe como un tipo robusto "con un abrigo de terciopelo negro y unos calzones oscuros muy sucios". Poderosas pantorrrillas cubiertas con medias de algodón gris, embutidas en sus botas. El pañuelo abigarrado y deshilachado, con el que se limpiaba la cerveza de la boca... Es un personaje brutal y dañino, que sin embargo cuenta con la fidelidad a toda prueba de su amante, la prostituta Nancy, y su bull terrier, llamado Bullseye.
Después de estar dando vueltas a la idea y contemplar muchas escenas y dibujos de época, tenía la idea de la pose y el aspecto que quería dar al personaje. Que transmitiera brutalidad y peligro a primera vista.
